To enable us to maintain these special prices, we knit with wool colours which we have on hand.

In the shopping cart you will be asked a few details, sex of child, choice of bright, pastel,

subdued etc and we will then choose colours as close as possible.

Orders which require specific colour options or details will be classed as special customs and may cost more.

COLOURS of AUSTRALIA  REGULAR SOAKERS  REGULAR SOAKERS FROM ONLY $20  Available by ORDER anytime This price refers to just a budget soaker- if you require tartan aran, fairisle, footy, or variations of our standard pattern,including larger sizes please enquire about a custom order soaker or shorts from colours chosen by us  Soakers are mostly one size fits most but as different wools vary so too do the rise and width. We do knit a medium soaker by request but  usually we do not make a newborn  as they last such a short time. Medium is a far better investment.We call these "soakers" but they do have a definite band/cuff so some people prefer to  use the term "shorts" when describing them. The ones we call "shorts" have a slightly longer leg. If you prefer a shorter leg then these work as well as shorts.  All our knits are 100% wool, therefore have a drawstring cord at the waist.If you want elastic in waist this can be done but please be aware your soaker will need washing more frequently as it is no longer all wool. Do not be fooled into believing lower prices mean less than top quality. To allow us to sell at this price we request you advise us of  sex of child, whether you like brights,pastels, or subdued colours, and a couple of measurements, via the shopping cart form and we will then choose a colour from stock We carry a large range of hand dyed wools  We are very choosy about the wool we use, and only use top quality from reputable spinners  Our soaker and longies can be knitted both in the round and flat,with different styles of bands, edgings depending on the wool, colour scheme etc; but may cost more than the standard price . POSSUM POUCHES MULTI-USE WOOL BOOSTER  KKs should not leak if they are boosted correctly and fit properly; however if you have concerns about a very heavy wetter you may like to add one of our special wool boosters as described below Pictured left- a wool booster designed to be attached to soaker or longies via the waistband cord and fitting between the back and front waists within the crotch area. This doubles the thickness of  the soaker in the area where it is needed for heavy wetters and negates the need for bulky thick wool in the whole soaker. It can be flipped out for faster drying, again  an advantage over slow drying thicker wool. It can also be used over a nappy or AIO, between   the nappy and the outer garment-bodysuit,pants,cover either just as a lay in woollen booster, or with a tie cord to hold it round the waist. It has  a further use as a woollen booster under the absorbent booster pad(between snap in booster and nappy inner layer) or anywhere some wool protection is needed Exclusive to Possum Pouches These take some time to knit as they are knitted in a special stitch.

AUSTRALIA ZOO/CRIKEY  All CRIKEY soakers  are made to order and a donation from the proceeds from the sale of these  will go  to one of the conservation funds with which Steve Irwin was involved. The number made will be very limited. They will not be held in stock but knitted to request as time permits Another Crikey set will be listed on Steve Irwin Day on 15th Nov

CEEJAKES® & SKIRT-A-LONGS  Introducing CEEJAKES® (Soak-A-Longs); longies that convert to a soaker and back again. Legs are detachable. Use them as longies  and if you decide to change to a soaker simply remove the legs, which can be put back on again at any time.Pic at left for illustration purposes only. We will have a variety of both leg and attachment styles. Ceejakes will be available as time permits, sold from instock only.   The name  is a taken from the names of 2 beautiful grandsons. Pictured Ceejakes colour is Pale Headed Rosella Ceejakes are sold from Instock only Also available are Skirt-a-Longs or Skants,  longies with a skirt or part skirt,these can be knitted or crocheted or knitted with crochet skirt, or whatever combination you would like. See our Longies page

***When washing and/or lanolising, after carefully rolling in a towel to absorb excess water, lay the soaker on a rack or flat sweater drying rack and gently pull the top and bottom edges back to their original shape. If this is done at each wash the soaker should retain the original rise measurement and not shorten, as long as care has been taken with the washing procedure ***
